The role of Debt Advisor aims to help our tenants to avoid the ‘debt trap’ and to provide them with the personal finance information they may require.

We are looking for an individual to provide a high quality, independent, impartial and confidential debt advice service. You will need experience of advising customers in debt as well as delivering training courses to the client group and also community groups.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and committed to providing a professional debt advice service. You will need to demonstrate that you are a good communicator and that you are motivated to meet the challenges of this exciting new post.

Pre Tenancy Support Officer

We are looking for an individual to effectively assess the needs of prospective tenants in order to ascertain if they have the ability to successfully manage a tenancy.

Key responsibilities will include advising customers in relation to managing debt and assisting them with applications for welfare benefits, having close liaisons with the relevant agencies. You will also play an active role in creating appropriate support packages for individuals.

The individual we are looking for needs to have experience of working face to face with customers. Along with a positive and flexible approach, you will be understanding but highly structured in your approach to our customers needs.

Housing Advice Receptionist

We are looking for a pro-active individual to work at Tameside Housing Advice Centre to provide a professional and efficient reception service and support the delivery of the service. You will need to demonstrate a high level of customer care for vulnerable and immediate need customers with multiple housing problems.

You will provide a first point of contact for all customers accessing the service, maintaining an efficient front desk reception service. You will also provide clerical and administrative support to the team.

All applicants should have excellent organizational and communication skills and be IT Literate.

By carrying out maintenance services, you’ll help us achieve a high quality environment at buildings, estates and land owned or managed by Gedling Homes.

This will mean external works, minor repairs and cleaning services, that not only create a neater tidier place, but also create an area that you and our tenants can be proud of.

With a flexible approach and a friendly nature, you’ll be happy working outdoors and able to undertake works to tight timescales.

You must also be able to work to tight deadlines in line with Health & Safety guidelines at all times.

A full, clean driving licence is essential as this role is fully mobile around the whole of the borough of Gedling and a company vehicle will be provided to carry out the role.
